While performing what I thought was normal routine web browsing this morning, I got a very scary pop-up on my Google Chrome browser ... and now I have no idea if this is a legit warning from Chrome about a hack that took place, or if it's a scam attempting to hack me. My screen capture of the warning that came up is attached. In particular, I found it extremely odd that it gave me a phone number to call Google Chrome support, as I've never seen contact info for Google before, not even when I searched in the Chrome support info...

Browsercrash.xyz is an adware which is created by the cyber criminals to make money. Once gets into the computer, Browsercrash.xyz will change the computer browser setting and begin to rediect your homepage and new tab. As soon as you open the browser, Browsercrash.xyz will pop up to redirect you to its own domain and block you from accessing online or using IE,Firefox and Chrome. Browsercrash.xyz displays scam pop-up alerts states that your computer is infected with virus and it offers phone number to call for help.
